We are seeking an Experienced Medical Receptionist who is detail-oriented and friendly to join our busy OB/GYN office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, ensuring a smooth patient experience, and maintaining accurate medical records. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency in medical software, and an understanding of medical terminology.
Must be able to do a rotating schedule. 7am-3pm, 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm, 11am-7:00pm. Hours will not be the same hours daily.
Rotating Saturday mornings.
On occasion, must be able to work in our Buffalo Grove location.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service.
- Schedule appointments
- Handle incoming calls with professionalism, addressing inquiries and directing calls as necessary.
- Maintain patient records with accuracy, ensuring compliance with confidentiality regulations.
- Process patient forms and verify insurance information.
- Utilize medical software such as Athenahealth and Phreesia for scheduling and record management.
- Perform clerical duties including filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
- Support office management tasks to ensure efficient operation of the front desk.
Skills
- Proficiency in Athenahealth and Phreesia EMR systems is preferred.
- Strong clerical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent phone etiquette to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
