Midwest Coatings Company, Inc. is an asphalt pavement maintenance company based in Modale, IA. We specialize in milling, paving, crack sealing, slurry sealing, seal coating and chip sealing. MWC is looking for a reliable, motivated, self-starter who will be responsible for the operation of equipment.
Asphalt Paving Equipment Operator
Job Duties:
- Operate machinery: End Loader, Skid Loader, Paver, Chip Spreader, Milling Machine, Road Widener, Roller and Reclaimer
- Inspections of equipment and machinery for repairs
- Conduct Risk assessments
- Ensure tools and equipment are properly cleaned, stored, and maintained for optimum performance and safety
- Frequently reaching, bending, lifting, walking, pushing/pulling, steering (turning)
- Occasionally lifting/moving up to 100lbs
- Perform other related duties as assigned including but not limited to:
- Loading hoppers, turning piles of product, clean up (sweeping, shoveling, lifting, and removing trash from raw material piles)
- Drivers License Required
Preferred Experience:
- Previous asphalt paving / heavy equipment operating experience
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to interpret documents
- Ability to work well under deadlines
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn
