Pay Range: $25-$30/hour based on experience

Hours: Our HVAC technicians arrive at our shop near Downtown Des Moines at 7:30AM, and typically finish work around 4-5PM. We do provide overtime services (nights, weekends, holidays) and all installation technicians may be called upon to work overtime calls for emergency replacement.
On-Call Service: Installation Technicians DO NOT go on our on-call schedule but are occasionally asked to work weekends or holidays when an emergency replacement is needed. *Technicians are never expected to give estimates, schedule maintenance, or take sales calls outside of business hours.* This is strictly for emergency services for overtime charges for the customer.
Skills/Requirements:
- Proven experience as an HVAC Install Technician
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of HVAC systems
- Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Duties:
- Prepare equipment and work van for full day's work of system tear out and replacement.
- Install HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, and ventilation systems.
- Ensure installations comply with local codes and manufacturer guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with customers to ensure their needs are met
- Maintaining a detailed inventory of all HVAC equipment and resources.
- Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Adhere to safety standards and company policies
- Maintain accurate records of work performed
- Participate in all technical training
- Complying with service standards, work instructions, and customers’ requirements
- Ability to work after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays with short notice.
- Ability to work in confined spaces
Other Qualifications:
•Valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record for insurance purposes
•Vocational, training, or apprenticeship of an HVAC program
