Description
We are seeking Treatment Technicians to serve Midwest Recovery in Northfield, MN. Midwest Recovery is an inpatient drug and alcohol treatment facility. We are a community-based program that proudly and ethically provides services to individuals experiencing hardships related to substance use disorders. Our focus is on you and how your personal strengths can enhance your recovery.
Responsibilities
- Take appropriate measures to meet the residents daily basic needs for health and safety including but not limited to the following tasks: a) serve meals, b) conduct safety checks, c) monitor residents according to the assigned levels of observation, e) assist in maintaining a clean work environment, and g) other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
- Complete all required electronic and paper charting, documentation and data entry of residents as outlined in the appropriate SUD guidelines, manuals, policies, and procedures.
- Demonstrate verbal de-escalation skills and attend agency mandated trainings.
- Complete all paperwork involved in providing direct resident care including but not limited to a) paperwork relating to admission and discharge, b) confidentiality, c) resident rights, d) resident inventories, e) tracking sheets, and f) other forms as needed.
- Keep current on all required documentation.
- Develops respectful relationships with residents and those persons significant to the resident.
- Advises and guides residents on personal hygiene habits. Monitors and tracks compliance with self-administered medication process if instructed. Oversees collection of urine specimen for drug screens.
- Assists residents in gathering/obtaining personal property when discharged.
- Answers phones and provides other administrative support as needed.
- Provides guidance to other staff regarding coordination of client services.
- Ensures more administrative support and program compliance with the activity schedule.
- May attend clinical staff and treatment meetings; co-facilitates staff meetings.
- Provides admission/orientation to residents and their families and completes all applicable documentation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Able to successfully pass a MN Department of Human Services background check.
- A valid driver’s license with no accidents within the past two years
- Free from problematic substance use for a minimum of 24 months.
On - call weekends with room for advancement
