What are the responsibilities and job description for the Concrete Foreman position at Midwest Concrete?
We are looking to hire an experienced Concrete Foreman. This individual will be in charge of managing a 10 person crew. You will be ordering concrete, scheduling daily tasks for your crew, communicating with the local inspector and other various duties. You must have the ability and knowledge to read plans and make yourself familiar with city and state projects.
Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Must be reliable
- Works well with others
- Fast learner
- Willing to teach if willing to learn
Qualifications
- Experience with commercial construction preferred.
- Preferred 2 years of experience as a foreman or supervisor.
- At least 3 years of experience in concrete work (forming, pouring, finishing).
- Must be able to communicate instruction and information effectively to other team members.
- Must oblige to safety procedures and encourage all other employees to do the same.
- Must be able to stay on schedule according to building plans.
- Must be able to properly maintain reports and time cards.
