Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Specialist to join our rapidly growing business. In this role, you will be responsible for managing accounts payable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, reconciling accounts, and providing top-notch service to vendors and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Invoice Processing: Accurately process accounts payable transactions, ensuring all invoices are matched, coded, and approved in compliance with company policies.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliation of accounts payable and vendor statements, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues promptly.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve any payment or billing disputes with vendors and internal departments through thorough investigation and communication.
- Vendor Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors, responding to inquiries and ensuring timely resolution of any payment issues or questions.
- Data Analysis: Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze payment trends, track expenses, and generate reports for management, ensuring financial accuracy.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit periodic accounts payable reports, providing insights into cash flow, outstanding liabilities, and vendor activity.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent internal and external customer service by answering inquiries related to accounts payable, payments, and account discrepancies.
- Ad Hoc Tasks: Assist with any other tasks or projects related to accounts payable and financial operations as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma required.
- Experience: 2 years of experience in accounts payable or similar financial roles.
- Skills & Expertise:
- Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills to effectively interact with vendors and internal teams.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of accounting software QuickBooks.
