The Youth Shared Living Provider plays a vital role in supporting young individuals with diverse needs in a shared living environment. Responsibilities
- Assist youth with daily living activities, including personal care and hygiene.
- attend all foster care classes and agency based training
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
- Provide home community care by engaging youth in social and recreational activities.
- Monitor the health and well-being of the youth, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Maintain a clean and organized living space to promote a healthy environment.
- Support youth in developing life skills through patient observation and guidance.
- Lift and assist individuals as needed to ensure their mobility and comfort.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans effectively.
- transporting youth to school, family visits and support programs, and doctors visits ect.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving, home health, or long-term care is preferred.
- Strong skills in meal preparation and understanding of nutritional needs.
- Ability to monitor patients effectively, recognizing changes in behavior or health status.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others thrive.
- Ability to lift individuals safely and assist them with mobility as/if required.
- A clean background check is required to ensure the safety of the youth.
