Position Summary
To observe and implement quality standards and production management systems within the organization. Manages production staff. Is responsible for production operation.
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Production Lead to oversee and coordinate the assembly processes within our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in operating various power and hand tools. This role is crucial for ensuring that production goals are met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of production associates on the assembly line, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to production schedules.
- Assemble products using power tools, hand tools, and other equipment as required.
- Train new employees on proper assembly techniques, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
- Monitor production quality and performance metrics, addressing any issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with management to identify areas for improvement in the manufacturing process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety regulations at all times.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as needed for material handling.
- · Oversees production staff, coordinates with warehouse manager and shipping coordinator: schedules, goals, and production output to meet key performance indicators.
- Creates, issues material, and closes shop orders.
- Enters finished goods when needed.
- Staff Training – Monitor performance according to MWEB quality standards Communicate, advise, assist as staff performance demands
- Perform Inspections – Perform incoming, in-process, and out-going product inspections
- Labeling – Create production and shipping labels
- Safety – Promote MWEB safety procedures. Participate as a Safety Committee Member, in which you record and maintain meeting minutes in accordance with retention policy
- Develop and maintain systems to measure performance against established quality standards
- Establish assembly, packaging, inspection instructions and keep continually updated customer specifications
- Continuously Improve Process (CPI) in production, CPI principles should be applied to standard operating procedures.
- Assists in opening and closing facilities to meet operational needs.
- Bring a positive attitude to work each day and uphold and abide by MWEB values and code of ethics.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience
- Proven experience in a manufacturing facility or factory setting is essential.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Familiarity with assembly processes, including fabrication techniques.
- Experience operating power tools, hand tools, and forklifts is highly desirable.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a warehouse or production environment is a plus.

- Associate Degree or higher
- Possess or acquire First Aid Responder Certificate

Pay Range:
Commensurate on experience and education: $18-$20/hour
