Job Title: Industrial Hygienist Department Head
Midwest Environmental Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Industrial Hygienist with 5-7 years of experience to lead our Industrial Hygiene Department. This person will be responsible for overseeing all industrial hygiene projects and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the Industrial Hygiene Department.
- Create industrial hygiene protocols and train staff.
- Perform and oversee industrial hygiene projects.
- Perform or review different types of IAQ studies.
- Meet with clients and conduct site and facility audits.
- Work with the sales team in the office and/or out in the field to provide proposal generation support.
- Stay up to date on all relevant industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Provide technical expertise to the team and function as a mentor to staff.
- Prepare and deliver reports to clients and regulatory agencies.
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of experience in industrial hygiene.
- Bachelor's degree in industrial hygiene, environmental science, or related field.
- Ability to perform site and facility audits, meet and consult with clients, provide sales proposal generation support, and implement protocols and train other staff.
- The ideal candidate will be able familiar with industrial hygiene testing devices.
- Candidate will have a working knowledge of OSHA and have the ability to research standards as needed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and lead a team effectively.
Additional Skills & Experiences:
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is an absolute benefit.
- Asbestos inspector, project manager, lead risk assessor and air sampling professional licenses.
- Knowledge in Phase I ESA and Phase II ESA.
- AutoCAD skills.
