Account Manager - Louisville, KY

The Account Manager is responsible for implementing a successful sales strategy within the assigned region, managing a portfolio of clients, and ensuring the highest level of service, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction.
Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as primary point of contact for clients, ensuring needs are met and expectations exceeded.
- Develop and maintain a strong, long-term relationship with key accounts by understanding their business challenges and offering tailored solutions.
- Conduct regular site visits and meetings with clients to ensure service quality, address any concerns, and review project progress.
- Proactively identify and resolve client issues, ensuring an elevated level of client satisfaction
Service Delivery & Operations:
- Coordinate with internal teams (operations, safety, logistics, lab, accounting, ER etc.) to ensure the effective execution of cleaning projects, from initial planning to completion.
- Oversee job site safety and ensure compliance with all industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Work closely with the operations team to manage scheduling, staffing, equipment, and materials for each client project.
- Ensure that all jobs are completed on time, within budget, and meet or exceed client expectations.
Account Growth & Business Development:
- Identify opportunities to grow revenue by upselling additional services or expanding the scope of work for existing clients.
- Collaborate with the sales team to pursue leads, secure new contracts, and develop strategies to enter new markets.
- Prepare and present proposals, bids, and service agreements for potential and existing clients.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to stay ahead of industry changes and client needs.
Marketing Strategy & Execution:
- Assist in the relaunch of social media channels for Midwest Environmental Services
- Promote Midwest Environmental Services at trade shows, events, and job fairs.
- Conduct market research and analyze trends to ensure the company stays competitive in the marketplace.
- Performs other tasks and duties upon business needs.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE AND/OR EXPERIENCE
5 years of experience in account management, sales, or operations within the Environmental industry, industrial cleaning, facilities management, or related industry.
COMPUTER SKILLS
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or fleet management software to maintain records, input data, and create reports, with the ability to learn new or updated software.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and project management tools.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Valid Driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record with no serious moving violations within the last 3 years.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is typically performed in an indoor office environment, some occasional exposure to outdoor elements. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit or stand, walk, talk, and listen; occasionally, the employee may occasionally have to stoop, bend, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds. Employees need manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment and a personal computer, clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities to discern verbal instructions and to communicate effectively with others and visual acuity to comprehend written work instructions and review, evaluate, and prepare a variety of written materials and documents.
