Midwest Equipment Rental & Sales provides a wide range of rental equipment and tools to North-Central Illinois, from handheld power tools to skid steer loaders and aerial equipment.
We are seeking a Rental Yard Technician to assist customers with equipment rentals, ensure proper operation and safety instructions, process orders and payments, maintain and repair equipment, and handle deliveries. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and excellent customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with equipment selection, operation, and safety instructions
- Process rental orders, payments, and check-in/out paperwork
- Load and unload equipment for customers and deliveries
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and service calls as needed
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the shop, yard, and equipment
- Uphold safety standards and provide excellent customer service
Requirements:
- Valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean record
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly and work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Experience towing trailers up to 14,000 lbs preferred
- Mechanical, construction, or rental industry experience is a plus
- Must pass a drug screening and background check
- Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
Flexible Scheduling:
We offer full-time and part-time positions with flexible schedules within our business hours:
- Weekdays: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM
