Job Description
The X-Ray Technologist will play a crucial role in our diagnostic imaging team. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing radiology procedures with precision and attention to detail to ensure accurate results and patient safety
- Welcome patients, obtain medical histories, and verify patient information
- Complete patient check-in and check-out processes, including applicable paperwork
- Prepare charts and maintain documentation of patient testing information
- Process payments and answer incoming calls
- Schedule patients and communicate effectively with all staff members
- Maintain equipment and supplies in the department
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Excellent patient care and customer service skills
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- A current driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
- The ability to maintain professionalism and customer focus in a fast-paced environment
- Graduation from an accredited radiology technician program
- IL State Radiology Technician licensure
- Prior X-Ray experience is preferred but not required
- ARRT Certification is mandatory
- Ability to multitask, ensuring accuracy and adherence to policies and procedures
- Organizational skills and EMR experience
