ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
ASSISTANT MANAGER APPLICATION PROCESS:

- 2nd Shift responsibility of partial operations at the ELP facility
- Will report directly to the ELP Manager
- Oversee and monitor production floor throughout the shift
- Complete Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly Reports
- Budget and Business Plan Responsibilities
- Directly manage operations supervisors within department
- Embrace and promote the organization’s core values, philosophies, and objectives
- Analyze trends for SQCDM and develop countermeasures
- Set KPI’s and monitor performance to targets
- Ensure appropriate manpower planning and budgeting for efficient operations are in place and required resources are available to meet customer and corporate requirements
- Provide leadership and guidance to all members of the Department
- Lead Associate Relations and morale within the department
- Solve problems and resolve issues and concerns that impact operational performance (quality, safety, finance, associate relations)
- Maintain all regulatory and compliance requirements of the Department
- Manage projects and provide guidance when needed
- Other duties as assigned
- Demonstrate and facilitate safety practices, procedures, awareness and COP with attention to detail
- Mentoring and development of direct reports
- Maintain professional and consistent Open Communication with all levels of the organization, communicating with diverse groups of people and ensuring understanding
- Provide daily reports to leadership team and customer on all shifts.
- Attend required operation meetings with the customer
- Support and serve as a role model for MEI’s KPI’s of Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale and Environmental
- Analysis, countermeasure and reporting on department performance.
- Ongoing business improvement activities

- Solve problems and resolve issues/concerns in a timely manner. Apply preventative measures
- Maintain a customer service focus, ensuring and protecting our customer’s best interest
- Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information and sustains trust with peers and customers
- Support leadership with other assigned duties and tasks
- Communicate and enforce MEI Employment policies and procedures
- Conduct salary performance reviews for direct reports
- Participate in disciplinary actions as needed
- Interview candidates as needed
- Support department and company projects
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 2-year degree in Operations Management, Business, or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a warehouse management environment
- Experience planning and scheduling meetings and appointments and maintain paper/electronic files
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, organization and communication skills
- Strong PC Skills (Microsoft Office Suite) required
- Self-motivated and detail oriented required
- Able to interact professionally within the company and with customers
- Ability to work on various projects simultaneously
- Must be flexible to work different hours as needed by the department/business
- Able to create spreadsheets, compose correspondence, maintain databases, create presentations, etc.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs continuously.
