What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Analyst position at Midwest Express, Inc.?
Essential Job Functions (to include but not limited to):
Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Monthly Analysis of Financials to determine future trends for cost models.
- Forecast Planning of Financial Performance for Months, Annual and Future years
- Cost Modeling of Numerous Projects simultaneously
- Completion of Multiple Financial Reports due Monthly, Quarterly, Semiannual and Annual
- Perform Change-Point Analysis breaking operational performance into designated segments:
o CPU based (Volume/Cost/Process Changes/Overtime, etc.)
- Preparation of Annual Proposal for CC Cost Element
o Costing of Labor, Space/Utilities and Equipment
o Quote Change Point Analysis for Annual Review and Customer Impacts
- Create And Present Presentations as required.
- Other Financial Analysis Requests as Assigned
- Lead Internal/Business Plan Themes/Activities
- Support and Backup Budget/Forecasting/Invoicing functions when necessary.
- Ability to communicate effectively with multiple department personnel.
- Ability to manage Confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Effective Leadership
- Solid Project Management
- Ability to speak in front of groups for presentations.
- Flexible to work additional hours on weekdays or weekend to achieve deadlines, occasionally with minimal prior notice.
- Maintain multiple deadlines for all projects and reporting timelines.
Minimum/Preferred Requirements (Education, Experience, and Skills):
- 4-year degree in Business or Accounting. Other equivalent/related experience may be considered.
- Base understanding of GAAP and IFRS Accounting Standards
- Excel/PowerPoint Skills (Advance preferred but not mandatory)
- Critical thinking skills.
- Conceptual Understanding of Warehousing Operations Functions (Solid understanding is encouraged)
- Solid understanding of Resource Cost (CPU) (Labor, Space etc.)
- Base knowledge of JDE/TMW Modules - Preferred
