Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Compliance Manager to oversee our company’s adherence to safety regulations and standards, specifically related to the Department of Transportation (DOT), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and U.S. Customs. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of federal safety compliance requirements and be responsible for ensuring the organization operates in full compliance with these regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- DOT Compliance: Ensure adherence to all Department of Transportation regulations, including driver qualifications, hours of service, vehicle inspections, and safety protocols.
- TSA Compliance: Oversee compliance with TSA regulations and ensure all air cargo and transportation security procedures are followed.
- U.S. Customs Compliance: Ensure the company’s international shipments meet U.S. Customs requirements, including proper documentation, classifications, and reporting.
- Training & Education: Develop and deliver training programs for staff on compliance best practices related to DOT, TSA, and Customs.
- Regulatory Updates: Monitor changes in relevant regulations and ensure the organization is up to date with any new legal requirements or industry standards.
- Auditing & Reporting: Conduct regular audits of operations to assess safety compliance and prepare reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with transportation and shipping compliance, working proactively to resolve any issues.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5 years of experience in safety compliance management with a focus on DOT, TSA,
- Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of DOT, TSA, and U.S. Customs regulations, industry best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Proficiency in compliance management software and MS Office Suite.
