What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Technician position at Midwest Extraction?
We are looking for a motivated Quality Control Technician to complete QA control charts and inspection logs, maintain adherence to USDA and FDA guidelines as well as company GMP policies and report any abnormalities to Supervisors. Duties of the Quality Control Technician include verifying COA's; checking all production logs for completion; checking for correct quality, quantity and labels, including best buy dates; designating retain items; signing QA forms; filing batch codes, etc. The ideal candidate should be proficient in basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division; ability to read and correspond in English; ability to problem solve and take action to correct issues; consistent attendance is mandatory. If you have previous experience in Quality Control and Graphic Design, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, a successful Quality Control Technician will insure that all products leaving the facility meet the highest standards.
Responsibilities:
- Verify COA's
- Check production and equipment logs for completion and accuracy
- Verify product meets quality standards and that labels and best buy dates are complete and accurate
- Designate retain items for testing
- Sign QA forms
- File batch codes up product completion
- Prefer some experience in Graphic Design, Label Proofing, and basic equipment maintenance skills
Requirements:
- 1 or more years experience with quality control
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to critically think and problem solve
- Able to read, write and speak English
Would prefer someone with experience in label-proofing, graphic design, and familiarity with AI.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
