Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Proposal Development
- Utilize Bluebeam or equivalent take-off software to measure and estimate projects.
- Review project plans and specifications to determine scope, materials, and labor requirements.
- Prepare bid documents and proposals, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Track and manage bid opportunities, ensuring follow-ups with clients and vendors.
- Assist with project setup, scheduling, and tracking.
- Conduct field measurements, site visits, and documentation of existing conditions.
- Work with suppliers to confirm material pricing and availability.
- Manage inbound calls, online leads, and customer inquiries, ensuring timely responses.
- Communicate with clients to clarify project details, answer questions, and discuss estimates.
- Provide support to senior estimators and project managers, including data entry, report preparation, and coordination of job details.
- Attend project meetings and assist in internal communication between departments.
- 1-3 years of experience in construction estimating, project management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam (or equivalent take-off software) is required.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
- Basic understanding of construction principles and terminology.
- Experience with Procore is a plus but not required.
- Must reside within a 1-hour commute of Chicago
