Mortgage Loan Officer

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Loan Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding clients through the loan application process, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring compliance with banking regulations. This role requires strong financial acumen, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients. The Loan Officer will work closely with various financial software and accounting tools to assess client needs and recommend suitable loan products.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate loan applications by reviewing financial documents and assessing creditworthiness.
• Provide expert guidance to clients on various loan products, including mortgages, personal loans, and business loans.
• Utilize accounting software and financial software to analyze client data and prepare loan proposals.
• Negotiate terms of loans with clients while ensuring compliance with banking regulations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of FNMA guidelines and other relevant lending policies.
• Foster strong relationships with clients through excellent customer service and follow-up communication.
• Collaborate with underwriters and other banking professionals to facilitate the loan approval process.
• Stay informed about market trends in financial sales to effectively advise clients.

Experience

• Proven experience in a sales or customer service role, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
• Familiarity with accounting software and financial software is highly desirable.
• Strong math skills and proficiency in 10 key typing for accurate data entry.
• Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful client interactions.
• Knowledge of FNMA guidelines or similar lending practices is a plus.
• A commitment to maintaining high ethical standards in all transactions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
