Purpose of the Position:
The Assistant General Manager supports the General Manager in overseeing all facets of restaurant operations to ensure excellent customer service and high operational standards. This role is crucial for ensuring the restaurant's financial performance and compliance with Hardee's standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assists the General Manager in daily restaurant operations, ensuring compliance with Hardee's policies, health and safety standards, and applicable laws.
- Manages financial tasks such as budgeting, forecasting, and reviewing profit and loss statements to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance financial performance.
- Oversees the recruitment, training, development, and termination of staff, ensuring a high level of performance and compliance with training requirements.
- Schedules and supervises staff to maintain operational efficiency and exceptional customer service.
- Acts as the manager on duty in the absence of the General Manager, handling responsibilities such as opening and closing the restaurant, managing cash, and overseeing security procedures.
- Implements and oversees staff reward and recognition programs to maintain high morale and reduce employee turnover.
- Authorizes administrative functions, including discounts, refunds, and payroll adjustments.
- Maintains the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the restaurant premises to meet Hardee's standards and create a welcoming environment for customers.
- Supports the General Manager in enforcing all company policies and procedures.
- Utilizes management tools effectively to monitor staff performance and customer satisfaction.
- Responsible for the operational readiness of the restaurant through effective leadership and management.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in restaurant management or a similar leadership role.
- Demonstrated ability to manage finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and analyzing P&L statements.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of training and motivating a team.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with restaurant management software.
