What are the responsibilities and job description for the Personal Trainer/Fitness Instructor position at Midwest Fitness?
Alloy Personal Training Schaumburg is looking for an experienced personal trainer with certification to cover several shifts a week for our small group sessions. Ideal candidate has history of working with the 40 population and modifying movements based on limitations. This is a fun environment in which we get to help change lives. There is the potential to be promoted to a future full time position.
Trainer/Coach Responsibilities
- Uphold the mission and core values of Alloy.
- Attend all scheduled staff meetings.
- Wear Alloy uniform during all training shifts (black pants/shorts and approved Alloy logoed top).
- Arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled shift.
- Clock in and clock out using MindBody software.
- Cue up appropriate daily workout on TV.
- Set up equipment needed for daily workout.
- Load all client information in the Alloy app for all small group training sessions on your schedule before the shift begins.
- Review the client information
- Apply the Alloy workouts to the clients appropriately as prescribed by the Director of Training.
- Based on the Alloy app, implement all corrective exercises, restrictions and any special communication as it is written by the Director of Training.
- Promote the message of the week during ALL coached sessions.
- Record all workouts and appropriate notes regarding each client and their visit in the Alloy app.
- Remain on the training floor during your shift
- Check-out all clients in MindBody software
- Follow-up with all no-shows.
- Send thank you and “at a boy” to members/clients via Alloy operating system
- At the end of the morning and evening shifts, complete the tasks listed on the closing checklist.
- Participate in outreach, events and business to business functions
- Perform other duties as assigned
- 30 day notice required if terminating employment
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a personal trainer or in other related fields
- Ability to coach all fitness levels
- Passion for health/wellness and fitness
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain high energy and positive attitude
- CPR/AED/First Aid certification
- Recognized Professional Personal and/or Group Training Certification preferred but not required
