JOB ROLE PURPOSE & SUMMARY :
The Texas division seeks an enthusiastic and outgoing Development Manager to join our team of 3 full-time staff and the growing volunteer base in Haltom City, Texas. The ideal candidate will thrive on people interaction, possess strong project management skills, and actively contribute to our Christian faith-based culture and mission. The position is posted as a full-time role, but qualified candidates interested in part-time employment are also encouraged to apply.
The role reports to and works in close collaboration with the onsite Executive Director. The Development Manager will own and execute key components of the fundraising strategy supporting the annual operating budget. Leveraging the resources of an established and national nonprofit brand, this role will be responsible for the donor development locally working with granting foundations, businesses, churches, and households. The Development Manager will
lead various community outreach events that increase donor and volunteer engagement, including corporate volunteer recruitment and engagement.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Execute and monitor assigned components of the development plan for the divisional annual operating budget in collaboration with the Texas Executive Director.
- Execute strategies for donor acquisition and development of businesses, churches, and households through annual campaign engagement and volunteer recruitment, which includes luncheons and tours.
- Execute strategies to engage donors at various giving levels, including major gifts, planned giving, and recurring donations (Share Partners program).
- Create personalized cultivation plans, acknowledgment strategies, and recognition programs to foster donor loyalty and retention.
- Initiate and own fundraising events.
- Partner with the onsite Executive Director to grow key community relationships via speaking engagements, media outlets, and community leaders.
