Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated X-ray Technician to join our healthcare team. This position will also require the ability to room patients and assist with the medical assistants in our office.
Duties
- Perform X-ray examinations on patients, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and aseptic techniques.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly.
- Operate X-ray equipment and ensure proper functioning by conducting routine maintenance checks.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging results and provide necessary information for diagnosis.
- Maintain accurate records of all imaging procedures, including patient history and technical details.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and guidelines related to diagnostic radiology.
- Stay updated on advancements in medical imaging technology and techniques, including PET scans and emergency medicine practices.
Experience
- Proven experience as an X-ray Technician
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and diagnostic radiology principles.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a high standard of patient care.
