What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Engineer - Commercial Construction position at Midwest Glass & Glazing, LLC.?
Midwest Glass and Glazing (MGG) is a locally owned small business with approximately 80 employees that specializes in the manufacturing and installation of commercial windows, doors, and other openings in the Division 8 scope.
The Project Engineer will primarily oversee glazing and doors/frames/hardware new construction projects and operate as a resource and subcontractor to general contractors. While the foremost goal will be the timely and accurate delivery of materials to projects, candidates must also be able to problem solve, communicate plans and timelines, maintain familiarity with contract documents and monitor procurement.
Daily Duties
· Analyze drawings & specifications to plan & coordinate projects
· Estimate project schedules and ensuring proper and timely work completion
· Coordinate & manage vendors & subcontractors
· Oversee acquisition & allocation of materials and manpower
· Support the Project Manager in manpower planning and execution
· Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards
· Monitor financial performance of projects
· Utilize company ERP software to perform duties
Education or Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in construction management, or construction science a plus
· 5 years of project engineering and/or project management experience
· General Contractor or commercial construction experience preferred

Pay: $81,162.00 - $87,687.00 per year
