Shop Hand/Hose Builder

Position Summary:

The Hose Builder is responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting hoses to ensure they meet our quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Measure, cut, assemble, and crimp industrial hoses according to specifications
• Perform pressure testing and quality inspections to ensure proper functionality
• Identify and report defective materials or unsafe conditions
• Operate tools and machinery such as crimpers, saws, and measuring devices
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety protocols
• Accurately complete production records and documentation
• Assist with inventory management and restocking of materials as needed
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals and deadlines

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in hose assembly, manufacturing, or a related field is a plus but not required - training will be provided
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs in adherence with Midwest Hose Safety Standards, and stand for extended periods
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Dependable with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn

This role is classified as safety-sensitive, meaning employees must be medically fit to perform essential functions and may be required to complete a fitness-for-duty evaluation if necessary.
