Heavy Equipment Parts Specialist
Growing company in the construction and mining industry is in search of a heavy equipment parts specialist who can multitask and enjoys working in a fast paced environment. Ideal candidate would be outgoing and willing to learn new things daily. Duties would include:
- Assist customers and salesmen with selecting required parts, suggest related parts
- Communicate through variety of mediums (in person, by phone, computer, etc.).
- Answer phone calls, providing price quotes and other information. Assist outside sales representatives with their orders.
- Forwards available inventory items by verifying stock; scheduling delivery.
- Prepares purchase orders by verifying specifications and price; obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items
- Obtains purchased items by forwarding orders to suppliers; monitoring and expediting orders.
- Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers.
- Keeps information accessible by sorting and filing documents.
- Provides purchasing planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
- Assist sales teams in achieving sales outcomes and goals by providing logistical and administrative support
- Provide support in carrying out dedicated sales activities and promotions to help meet sales targets
- Create and maintain a clear channel / liaison between sales and production departments Develop correspondence for both in-house and customer communication purposes
Qualifications for heavy equipment parts specialist:
- Mechanical background a plus
- Ability to proficiently navigate through websites and look up parts
- Knowledge of Microsoft EXCEL required
- Basic office equipment troubleshooting skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
