Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Manager to oversee our inventory management processes within our warehouse. The ideal candidate will have experience in order fulfillment, and a strong understanding of demand planning, and process improvement. This role is crucial for ensuring that our inventory levels are optimized to meet customer demands while minimizing excess stock.
Responsibilities
- Provide timely delivery of parts to production.
- Update work orders to reflect parts used and restock any unused parts.
- Enter shop requests for materials used in-house.
- Analyze inventory levels and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly.
- Identify improvements to enhance inventory management practices.
- Conduct cycle counts.
- Oversee and back up to the shipping and receiving process.
- File claims for damaged incoming shipments.
Qualifications
- Previous inventory experience in a distribution/manufacturing environment
- Strong computer skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to operate forklift, pallet jack, banding/strapping machine.
- Knowledge of electrical terminology is a plus.
