Facility Supervisor Cleaning-Janitorial

Midwest Janitorial Service is a well-established cleaning company looking for a reliable, hard-working second-shift facility supervisor who wants to lead a team of 10-15.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated and wants to help their staff be successful in meeting client needs and expectations. The position requires training, overseeing the completion of work, and following up on client requests. Cleaning is required as we are a cleaning company. This position requires above average attendance.

The position is primarily Monday through Friday starting at 5pm.

• Trains new employees.
• Responsible for staffing assigned facilities.
• Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of assigned staff in their assigned facility.
• Conducts performance evaluations.
• Performs quality assurance inspections and works with staff to complete client requests/concerns.
• Performs cleaning tasks per custodial job description
• Responsible for proper uses, inventory and maintenance equipment, materials, PPE, and supplies in assigned facilities.
• Must be able to bend, twist, squat, and lift 20 lbs. – 30 lbs. and be on feet the entire shift.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record. Driving between multiple facilities is required every day.
• Must pass a background check as well as client-required background checks.
• Must be able to freely access client facilities.
• Must be reliable and have excellent attendance.
• Must adhere to the company’s safety policies to create a safe work environment for everyone.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• AA Degree Preferred but a combination of experience/education will be considered
• Six months or more supervisory experience
• A high degree of professionalism
• Exceptional customer service skills as work performed around client
• Ability to oversee staff and provide a positive environment
• Ability to inspect completed work
• High attention to detail
• Reliable
• Self-Motivated
• Able to Work with Others
• Above average English reading and verbal communication ability
