Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified Inspector to join our team at a facility in Madison, WI. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Facility Manager and be responsible for inspecting inbound scrap metal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and inspect inbound scrap metal to ensure it meets quality standards
- Identify and grade incoming scrap metal
- Reject unacceptable material or items
- Direct customers in traffic flow for proper unloading
- Complete inspection tickets and provide them to customers
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- Prior experience in metals identification is necessary
- The ability to interact with customers and vendors in a friendly and courteous manner
