What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compliance Specialist position at Midwest Land Group?
Midwest Land Group is one of the fastest growing land real estate brokerages in the United States. Based out of Leawood, Kansas, we are currently licensed in 16 states and rapidly expanding across the nation. Our business model focuses on connecting buyers and sellers of land real estate - primarily hunting land, farmland, ranches, recreational properties, and investment properties.
We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and professional Compliance Specialist to support our growing transaction workload.
This is a full-time position that will be based out of our office in Leawood, KS.
This position will report directly to the Compliance Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, organize, and review transaction forms for compliance with state law
- Communicate required changes with the agents and follow-up as necessary
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to compliance activities
- Review state forms to stay current on regulatory changes
- Assist in preparation for state audits by the respective commission or board
- Monitor compliance activities for potential risks and report findings to manager
- Continuously identify best practices and opportunities to further improve our compliance processes
Desired Skills & Experience
- High School Diploma
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in a corporate environment
- Extremely high attention to detail balanced with a sense of urgency
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete multiple projects at the same time
