We are looking for an experienced Lumber Yard VP of operations to join our team and help us establish a new lumber yard.
**Position Overview:**
As the Lumber Yard VP, you will play a key role in organizing and managing our new lumber yard. You will be responsible for overseeing inventory, organizing stock, receiving deliveries, and ensuring the smooth operation of the yard. This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to hire and fire employees as needed.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Organize and manage the inventory of the new lumber yard.
- Oversee the receipt and proper storage of stock.
- Ensure the safe operation of a forklift and other equipment.
- Hire, train, supervise, and, when necessary, terminate employees.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
**Qualifications:**
- Minimum of [3 ] years of experience in a residential lumber yard or similar environment.
- Strong organizational and management skills.
- Experience operating a forklift and other yard equipment.
- Ability to lead a team and make personnel decisions.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of lumber products and building materials is a plus.
