City drivers will conduct multiple stops per day while interacting with customers. Drivers may be required to operate pallet jacks and lift gates to maneuver freight as needed. This hands-on, day-shift position is ideal for those who demonstrate great customer skills and have mastered local traffic routes._Bobtail drivers with local delivery experience are welcome to apply._Job Responsibilities Transport freight in safe and prompt manner Interact with our clients and customers in a professional and courteous manner with limited supervision Comply with Department of Transportation regulations and laws Maintain responsibility for safety and security of company equipment and customer goods Load and unload trailers and move freight across the terminal dock, either individually or with the assistance of a co-worker, with or without mechanical freight handling equipment, as required. Record quantity and type of shipments using bills of lading, delivery receipts, and tally sheets. Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations. Hook and unhook trailers from tractors, including cranking levers to raise and lower landing gear. Fuel trucks and tractors.
