What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legislative Advocacy Outreach and Grassroots Organizing Manager position at Midwest Multistate Division Service Corp?
As part of the team that champions – and ultimately wins – changes in policy and regulation that increase affordability, quality, and accessibility of healthcare for Missourians through nursing, this person will have the responsibility of assisting in the implementation of Missouri Nurses Associations (MONA) plan in relation to access to care and APRNs.
This position would lead the initiatives outlined in a grant and spend approx. 90% of their time on the project. The Outreach and Grassroots Organizing Manager will grow, sustain, and mobilize nurse activist constituencies, working with and motivating supporters and allies to advance and achieve better access to healthcare for Missourians. They will do this by engaging in outreach, education, advocacy, organizing, and mobilization activities in relation to this project and our access to care goals. This position will support the work of the State Director with the Nurse Liaisons Program in the recruitment of nurses into the liaisons program as well as to help develop the training program and curriculum. The Outreach and Organizing Manager will lead the Advanced Practice Council, the Practice and Policy Roundtable, the Better Access, Better Care Coalition, the Solutions to the Healthcare Crisis in Missouri Summit, and support the implantation of the 2020-2030 Future of Nursing Report recommendations.
We will hire as a full-time, 40-hour a week position for the duration of the project.
