Midwest Orthopaedic Consultants is ready to hire a full-time Medical Assistant to assist our physicians in providing the best orthopedic care possible at our clinics in Orland Park, IL and Oak Lawn, IL. The typical schedule for this position is 8am to 5pm but varies based on the day.

We specialize in nonsurgical and surgical treatments for any type of orthopedic and musculoskeletal problem or injury out of our Illinois clinics in Orland Park and Oak Lawn. MEDICAL ASSISTANT


As a Medical Assistant, you are directly involved in ensuring that we deliver patient-focused orthopedic care at our clinic at all times. You greet patients and triage them upon arrival. You prepare them to see the physician by obtaining their histories, vital signs, and weight/height measurements. You assist our clinicians with examinations, procedures, and treatments and are always a calming presence for our patients. When patients are finished, you review the care plan with them to ensure they understand before leaving our clinic.


We have you to thank for our examination and procedure rooms always being in order, set up, and ready for each new patient. You are intent on maintaining a clean and safe environment. You can also plan on some administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and procedures for patients and managing the necessary documents such as pre-authorizations, medical records, and test results. You also respond to patient phone messages in a timely manner. Your attention to detail ensures that everything is properly documented in our computer system. This fast-paced environment will keep you on your toes, but your positive attitude will ensure your success.


QUALIFICATIONS


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program (certification is a plus)
  • CPR certification or willing to attain upon hire
  • Casting a plus
  • DME experience a plus

Previous experience in an orthopedics setting is preferred, but not required. Experience in Electronic Medical Records system would be a plus!
