Ready to join? We are looking for a X-ray Technologist at our Chicago, IL location, who would report to our Manager of Radiology. This position will also travel to additional clinic locations as necessary. We offer competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare patient for radiologic procedures and takes x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
- Maintain working knowledge in the use of PACS, DR and CR Radiologic equipment.
- Use C-Arm where appropriate.
- Prepare medications for, and assists the physician with Fluoroscopic procedures.
- Maintain Radiology rooms and stocks necessary medical and radiologic supplies
- Prepares and positions patient for diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified area of body requested by physician.
- Explains procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
- Moves imaging equipment into specified position, determines exposure factors on basis of height, weight, portion of body involved, and degree of penetration required, and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors and produce images of proper detail, density, and accuracy.
- Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff.
- Performs specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures.
- Assists physicians in fluoroscopic and special x-ray examinations. Measures and prepares medication and contrast media.
- Processes images and reviews for proper identification and quality control.
- Prepares images for reading by the requesting physician.
- Notifies the Radiology Manager regarding malfunctions and repairs as needed.
- Properly uses EHR to enter CPT codes for billing purposes.
- Travel to other clinics as required.
- Other duties as assigned. #INDAOJ
Education and/or Experience
- Graduate of an accredited X-Ray Technologist Program
- ARRT Certification is required.
- IEMA Certification is required.

Pay Range: $ 32.00 - $37.00 per hour Pay is dependent on the applicant's relevant experience.
