We're looking for a motivated, detail-oriented, and reliable Landscaping & Outdoor Living Installation Technician to join our team and help us bring our clients’ outdoor dreams to life.

Position Overview:
As a Landscaping & Outdoor Living Installation Technician at Midwest Outdoor Services, you’ll work directly with our skilled team to install a variety of outdoor projects, including hardscaping, landscaping, patios, retaining walls, outdoor kitchens, and more. You’ll get hands-on experience with both hand tools and heavy equipment, develop new skills, and make a real impact on each project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the installation of landscaping and hardscaping projects, including patios, walkways, retaining walls, fire pits, and outdoor kitchens.
  • Safely operate a range of hand tools and power equipment (saws, axes, shovels, etc.) to perform tasks efficiently and with precision.
  • Safely use heavy equipment such as skid steers, loaders, and excavators for excavation, grading, and material handling.
  • Follow all safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines when using both hand tools and heavy machinery to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Perform site preparation, including grading, excavation, and material movement.
  • Maintain high standards of quality during installation and ensure work is completed according to project plans.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
  • Collaborate with the team and project managers to complete projects on time and to a high standard.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, including proper tool handling, equipment operation, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Be dependable, punctual, and maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Motivated and eager to learn new skills in landscaping, hardscaping, and outdoor living installation.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to operate and maintain heavy equipment (skid steers, loaders, excavators) safely and efficiently.
  • Previous experience with landscaping, is not required but is a plus.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, with the ability to commute to different job sites as needed.
  • Ability to lift and carry materials (up to 100 lbs) and work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
