Job Overview
As a Mobile Heavy Equipment Repair Specialist at Midwest Peterbilt Group, you will be responsible for performing repair and maintenance work on heavy-duty trucks off-site with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
* Work from mobile repair truck/van at customer's location or in the field
* Perform skilled mechanical repairs on trucks and equipment
* Assist in training new technicians into Mobile Technician role
* Perform initial inspection, and diagnose failure to determine if repair can be made in field or if unit needs to be transported to an MPG shop for repairs
* Use of OEM diagnostic and test equipment to perform trouble shooting and to verify repairs are completed
* Test drive of unit to be repaired prior to repair if appropriate to confirm failure, test drive unit after repairs to verify repair
Requirements
* High School Diploma or GED
* Diploma from a technical college or equivalent experience (minimum 2-years' experience in heavy-duty truck repair) required
* Intermediate to advanced computer skills with fundamental computer operations, spreadsheets, database, and e-mail
