A Mobile Truck Technician with the Midwest Peterbilt Group will perform skilled mechanical repairs on heavy-duty trucks off site with minimal supervision while working in the field. The successful candidate will have a strong background in heavy-duty truck repair and excellent communication skills.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform initial inspection, and diagnose failure to determine if repair can be made in field or if unit needs to be transported to an MPG shop for repairs.
- Use of OEM diagnostic and test equipment to perform trouble shooting and to verify repairs are completed.
Requirements
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Diploma from a technical college or equivalent experience (minimum 2-years' experience in heavy-duty truck repair) required
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills with fundamental computer operations, spreadsheets, database, and e-mail
