Primary Purpose of Job:
As the District Manager in Training your primary responsibility is to run a retail location for Midwest
Petroleum Company. While the person is running the location, they will also shadow a current MPC
District Manager to learn the particulars of multi-unit management. This person is expected to
successfully matriculate through the MPC Training Program for District Managers in Training. Once
deemed ready by all involved parties, they will be moved to a District Manager role for MPC.
As the District Manager in Training your primary responsibility is to run a retail location for Midwest

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must be proficient at the Manager position.
- Maintain accurate store records by ensuring that all forms and reports are filled out properly and on time.
- Maintain an adequate store inventory through proper ordering, proper pricing, proper security procedures, and proper check-in/check-out.
- Control store expenses within assigned budgets.
- Interrupt financial statements, reports, and KPIs to achieve maximum store sales and profit.
- Manage teams ranging in size from 4-15 employees.
- Hire, train, and coach/counsel store staff under the direction/approval of the Supervisor.
- Handle employee disciplinary and termination issues under the direction/approval of the supervisor.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide pay increase recommendations.
- Ensure employee compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Obey and enforce city, county, state, and federal laws in relation to store operation.
- Maintain a safe store and property environment. Follow all safety rules and regulations including reporting any employee or customer incidents within 24 hours.
- Make out employee schedules each week, approve overtime hours, and submit payroll one week in advance.
- Monitors the results of store cycle inventories and store audits to ensure corrections on any deficiencies.

Education/Experience Qualifications
Highschool Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred associate degree in a related field
Minimum 5-7 years of retail management experience
Minimum 2 years in convenience stores
Preferred 1 years in multi-store management
