As an Accountant, your primary responsibility is to enter data from a variety of financial documents. These
documents include, but are not limited to vendor’s invoices, tax payments, utilities bills, and other
expense reports. This position includes processing and monitoring invoices over all of Midwest
Petroleum’s retail locations and other assets. The role requires in-depth knowledge of SharePoint, Excel,
and use of scanned files to help complete job duties. Using all these tools to help cross-verify and check
that all entered documents have matching and accurate information. The Accountant will work closely
with the Chief Financial Officer to assist with any special projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

frequently be required to lift, push, or pull weight of at least 5 to 75 pounds. Ability to work in different Midwest

- Manage all accounting transactions from Midwest Petroleum.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
- Checks and reconciles:
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- External Auditing Reports
- Manages balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
- Cross-reference audit reports with vendor invoices to maintain accurate information on products and money at each retail location.
- Audits financial transactions and documents as needed.
- Complies with all company, local, state, and federal accounting, and financial regulations.
- Creates periodic reports, such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, etc. as instructed.
- Maintains accurate financial records.
- Participates in internal and external auditing processes as needed.
- Handle any other work that can be assigned at the supervisor’s discretion.
