Primary Purpose of Job:
As the Fueling and Transportation Director, your primary responsibility is to provide Midwest Petroleum
with a more cost-effective solution to petroleum transportation and compliance needs. Develop and
maintain the Fuel and Transportation division and its personnel. Provide regulatory compliance consulting
and record-keeping.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage MPC fuel transportation & accountable for all fuel-related activities.
- Manage all supplier relationships and JDMs fuel-related RFP’s.
- Research and implement money-saving strategies for purchasing and distribution strategy.
- Establishing efficient routes and transportation schedules
- Measuring drivers on key metrics including driver utilization, deadhead, and driver HSSE & Compliance.
- Supervise the division across all Midwest Petroleum locations.
- Performs schedules and unscheduled HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, Environment) and DOT (Department of Transportation) audits of the fleet at the local terminal aligned with National HSSE Manager standards.
- Create and implement an effective fuels database inclusive of dashboard/reporting capabilities to be reviewed and understood by key stakeholders.
- Recruit, manage, and maintain, all aspects of the fuel fleet drivers.
- Providing reports on staff budgeting.
- Appraising job results.
- Ensuring all drivers have proper licensure and updated training.
- Monitoring all drivers are adhering to schedules.
- Coordinating with drivers and office staff
- Ensuring safety measures are being followed.
- ELD/DOT compliance equipment
- Purchasing vehicles to expand the fleet.
- Scheduling regular vehicle maintenance
- Manage vehicle licensures and registration.
- Partner with various business units, and determine optimum products and origins to maximize economic performance (Gasoline, Diesel, Bio-diesel, E85, Kerosene, and DEF)
- Implement and maintain an effective fuel database based on

- Assist in budgeting and long-range planning.
- Provide 24/7 support and on-call services for drivers and contracted customers.
- Handle any other work that can be assigned at the supervisor’s discretion.
Education/Experience Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Financial, or Business Administration
7-10 years’ experience in Fuel Fleet Management or an equivalent role
