Midwest Print and Distribution is a coloring book / puzzle book printer looking for a full-time, quality conscious, detailed oriented, reliable, team player to work as a Web Press Operator to join our team. Requirements
Experience to run a commercial web press and manage its crew
3-5 years working as a web press operator (or 2nd man) required
Experience in 4 color process printing a plus
Experience with running newsprint is a plus
Familiarity with the following equipment preferred:
Web Presses
Goss M130: Five unit 38" wide Heatset commercial book press with JF130 folder
Goss V30: Four unit 38" wide coldset book press with two JF35 folders.
Timson T32: Two unit 53" wide coldset book press, two streams 96 pages.
Timson T32: Two unit 40" wide coldset book press with digest fold
Education
High School Diploma or GED
Essential Duties
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Ability to do basic math and read a ruler
Good communications skills
Must be able to stand for 8 hour shifts
Ability to lift #40 on a regular basis
Willing to work weekends when required
Ability to follow procedures to ensure we have a safe environment
