Casual CT position to work at all three Urgency Room locations (Eagan, Woodbury, and Vadnais Heights). Looking for day, evening, and weekend availability Evening and weekend differential of $3.00 per hour.
JOB TITLE: Imaging Technologist - CT
LOCATION OR DEPARTMENT: THE URGENCY ROOM
EXEMPT STATUS/GRADE: Non-Exempt/Step Scale
REPORTS TO: Manager
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None.
SUMMARY OF POSITION: Perform CT/XR exams and procedures according to established protocols to provide quality images and patient care.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Perform CT/XR exams and assist physician in invasive procedures in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate efficiency and effectiveness within the department time standards for routine exams.
• Obtain patient history, answer questions, and provide the patient with information about the exam and/or procedure so they are comfortable and thoroughly understand it.
• Work with the radiologists, referring clinics and/or patients to ensure the appropriate exams, films and medical records are correct and prepared for the exam.
• Ensure all necessary paperwork is accurate and complete for the radiologist, referring clinic and the patient’s medical records.
• Incorporate company values into daily interactions with internal and external customers.
• Other duties may include, but are not limited to, training new employees, stocking and/or ordering department supplies and assisting in other departments.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
• RT (R) (CT) required within one year of employment
• 3-6 months general x-ray experience preferred.
• 6-12 months CT experience preferred.
• IV and power contrast injector experience preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• Knowledge of basic radiologic principles, procedures, methods and techniques required.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology required.
• Excellent patient care, problem solving, organizational, communication and technical skills required.
• Ability to work independently, in a team, and with all levels of the organization required.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and take initiative required.
• Demonstrate knowledge of safety-related work behaviors to ensure a safe work environment.
• Competent in using a computer keyboard, email, Imagecast and PACS or similar applications.
DAILY PHYSICAL DEMANDS REQUIRED FOR PERFORMING ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
OF THE JOB:
Requires a moderate amount of sitting, standing, walking, reaching, gripping, twisting, turning and repetitive motion; some bending, kneeling, squatting, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to operate a keyboard, telephone and other office equipment. Ability to assist patients to walk, sit, stand and move to and from the exam table, wheelchair and/or Hoyer lift.
ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS:
• High-Potential exposure to communicable diseases, blood products, bodily fluids and/or hazardous materials common to a radiology setting.
• High-Potential exposure to ionizing radiation exams rooms and/or involved in the use of ionizing radiation common to a radiology setting.
Salary : $36 - $49
