JOB TITLE: Supervisor, Mammography Technologist, Full Time.
LOCATION OR DEPARTMENT: Mainly at our Breast Center in Coon Rapids and occasional travel to our Burnsville location.
EXEMPT STATUS/GRADE: Non-Exempt/Step Scale
REPORTS TO: Clinic Manager
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: Supervises Mammography personnel and resources for all Imaging Centers.

SUMMARY OF POSITION: Responsible for overseeing all functions of the Mammography department
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels to meet department workloads.
- Supervise staff, including hiring, performance management and terminations.
- Represent the department for workflow and process issues, when working with other departments in the company.
- Develop and maintain procedures for the department in partnership with radiologists, clinic supervisors, IT and staff.
- Perform Mammography and bone density Imaging exams and procedures according to established protocols to provide quality images and patient care as needed.
- Participate in Safety Committee meetings.
- Incorporate company values into daily interactions with internal and external customers.
- Does require local travel and or visiting our Imaging Centers with mammography as needed at least 1 day per month.
- Other duties may include, but are not limited to, stocking and/or ordering department supplies.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- R.T. (R), (M) (ARRT) required and R.T. (BD) preferred.
- 5 – 7-year Mammography Imaging experience required.
- 3 – 5 year Supervisory or Lead Mammography Imaging experience preferred.
- CPR certification required.
- Experience in Breast sonography would be preferred, but not necessary.
- Knowledge of basic radiologic principles, procedures, methods and techniques required.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology required.
- Excellent patient care, problem solving, organizational, communication and technical skills required.
- Ability to work independently, in a team, and with all levels of the organization required.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and take initiative required.
- Demonstrate knowledge of safety-related work behaviors to ensure a safe work environment.
- Supervisory/lead Mammography Imaging experience relating to scheduling, reviewing job performance, discipline and follow-up, and salary review.
- Must be competent in using a computer keyboard, email, payroll, RIS and PACS or similar applications.
DAILY PHYSICAL DEMANDS REQUIRED FOR PERFORMING ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Requires a moderate amount of sitting, standing, walking, reaching, gripping, twisting, turning and repetitive motion; some bending, kneeling, squatting, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to operate a keyboard, telephone and other office equipment. Ability to assist patients to walk, sit, stand and move to and from the exam table, wheelchair and/or Hoyer lift.
ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS:
- High-Potential exposure to communicable diseases, blood products, bodily fluids and/or hazardous materials common to a radiology setting.
- High-Potential exposure to ionizing radiation exams rooms and/or involved in the use of ionizing radiation common to a radiology setting.
Salary : $42 - $55
