Reports To: Railroad Construction Foreman
Company Overview: Our company is a leading provider of railroad construction and maintenance services. We specialize in the construction, repair, and maintenance of railroad tracks, bridges, and other related infrastructure.
Position Overview: As a Railroad Construction Laborer, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support the construction and maintenance of railroad tracks and other related infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the construction and maintenance of railroad tracks, bridges, and other related infrastructure
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including jackhammers, drills, and saws
- Load and unload materials and equipment
- Clean and prepare construction sites
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines
- Other duties as assigned by the Railroad Construction Foreman
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in construction or related field
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work in a physically demanding role
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Willingness to work in outdoor environments
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift and move heavy equipment and materials
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions
- Must be able to work in a physically demanding role
