What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Therapist position at Midwest Refuah Health Center?
Midwest Refuah Health Center (MRHC) is seeking a Mental Health Therapist who will work with a diverse client base while specializing in the treatment of male patients. The therapist will provide individual therapy and collaborate with the behavioral health team to evaluate, treat, and support clients through a range of therapeutic interventions.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining a regular caseload and utilizing counseling expertise to support male patients.
- Providing direct services such as individual and group counseling/therapy, case management, community support, job support, case consultation, and crisis intervention.
- Assessing, evaluating, and making recommendations for clinical interventions.
- Collaborating with the primary care team to ensure continuity of care.
- Completing all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Supporting and supervising interns as assigned.
- Participating in quarterly clinical staffing with a supervisor.
- Providing leadership with accurate and timely updates on client needs and program operations.
- Engaging in continued professional education and training.
Education & Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral Degree in a Mental Health-related field.
- Full or provisional licensure as a mental health professional (e.g., LCSW, Ph.D., etc.).
- Extensive experience treating male patients.
- Experience with therapeutic interventions preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Strong ability to manage a diverse caseload independently.
- Cultural sensitivity, particularly toward the Orthodox Jewish community.

Salary : $60,000 - $80,000
