What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant/LPN position at Midwest Regional Health Services?
We are an independent family practice office seeking a high energy, ambitious individual to join our team in assisting our providers with their patient workload. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Patient Intake, which includes: Record vital signs, review medications and allergy list, gather social & family histories, and document appropriately.
- Assist providers as needed with minor procedures; perform EKGs; administer immunizations; perform phlebotomy; process in-house labs.
- Process prescription refills; relay lab results within scope of practice, and return patient phone calls.
- Cross coverage as a part of our Clinical Support Team (call center). The Clinical Support Team is responsible for all incoming calls. They provide our patients with fast, efficient, and professional assistance scheduling appointments, processing prescription refills, and relaying lab results.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduation from an Accredited Medical Assisting or Practical Nursing Program is required.
- Current NE State Licensure in Practical Nursing (LPN)
- Current NE State Medication Aide Licensure for Medical Assistants is preferred, but not required to be eligible for hire. We will assist the right candidate in obtaining Medication Aide licensure, as required by the State of Nebraska.
Minimum 1yr experience in a medical clinic setting is preferred.
