Overview:
Midwest Staffing is seeking a dynamic Plant Administrator to join our team. This role will encompass both administrative responsibilities and support for the HR team. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently, and have previous experience working in a manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Facility Management:
- Create a welcoming and efficient facility environment.
- Plan, organize, and administer company events.
- Coordinate scheduling with outside vendors, customers, and third-party visits.
- Adhere to safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) protocols.
- Oversee the badge system and timekeeping procedures.
Security and Timekeeping:
- Administer the facility security system and manage badge issuance for employees and contractors.
- Handle time clock procedures and resolve equipment issues.
- Train supervisors and new employees/contractors on time clock procedures.
- Support the employee safety program.
Recruiting and Onboarding:
- Assist with recruitment for regular and temporary employees, including communication with staffing agencies and hiring managers.
- Process transactions in UKG and other systems for onboarding and offboarding temporary employees.
- Schedule, organize, and present new hire orientations.
Administrative and Communications:
- Distribute communications via text and email.
- Ensure employee communications are updated on bulletin boards and UKG.
- Maintain accurate employee records.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2-4 years of administrative experience in a manufacturing environment or a similar role.
- Education: High School diploma required.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English; working knowledge of Spanish.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with HRIS software, such as UKG, is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic math skills and the ability to read/write in English.
