Position : Residential Operations Manager

Schedule : Monday through Friday 7am to 4pm (Spring) Hours vary in Winter

Pay : $50,000 / annually Depending on qualifications

Job Overview :

The Residential Operations Manager (Maintenance) will oversee the execution of landscape maintenance services, ensuring alignment with company’s sales process and core values. This role is responsible for the efficient operation and management of our landscape maintenance teams.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Set and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) for maintenance sales, performance, and client retention.
  • Maintain regular communication with Landscape Care Representatives and / or Maintenance Supervisors via phone, email, text, or other technologies to ensure high standards and foster strong relationships.
  • Manage the scheduling and oversight of both in-house and subcontractor crews.
  • Conduct daily site visits to monitor work quality, team cohesion, and ensure client expectations are met. Provide feedback to crews when necessary.
  • Maximize efficiency at job sites while ensuring the safety and morale of employees.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery.
  • Work directly with field staff to provide coaching and improve maintenance skills.
  • Evaluate crew performance and address any conflicts that may arise.
  • Maintain professional, courteous communication with clients when addressing their questions or concerns.
  • Adapt scheduling and team assignments as the season progresses, ensuring flexibility in crew management.
  • Respond effectively to changes in schedule and adjust to a fast-paced work environment.
  • Collaborate well with all crew members and supervisors. The Operations Manager may be reassigned to different teams as needed based on workload.
  • Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice.

Job Requirements :

Minimum Qualifications :

At least 3 years of managerial experience.

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the landscape industry is preferred.
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and problem-solving.
  • Experience in personnel management, organization, and customer service.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Education :

    A four-year degree or certification from a college / university, or four or more years of relevant experience and / or training.

    Physical Requirements :

    Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly.

  • Capable of moving about the worksite, with periods of walking, standing, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 100% of the workday.
  • Work Environment :

    Exposure to outdoor elements such as pollen, chemicals, and varying weather conditions.
