The Receptionist Position
Due to growth within the organization, Midwest Steel is seeking a professional and organized Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact, responsible for managing all front desk operations including greeting visitors, handling calls, and providing administrative support to ensure smooth operations within the office.
Additional responsibilities include overseeing mail and deliveries, maintaining accurate records, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring office supplies and equipment are well-maintained. The ideal candidate will help foster a welcoming and organized office environment, contributing to the overall efficiency and professionalism of the organization.
Desired Experience, Skills, and Abilities for the Receptionist
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in office administration or accounting is a plus
- Proven experience as a receptionist, administrative assistant, or in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and accounting software is a plus
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Knowledge of construction terminology and procedures is a plus.
