Business Systems Analyst II, AI/ML

Hybrid position after 60-day orientation period. 3 days in office/2 days remote.

Position Summary:

The Business Systems Analyst II will operate in an Agile development environment and function as a Feature Product Owner, focused on defining assigned solutions for mobile and web applications. This collaborative innovator works with a cross-functional group to develop requirements for new solutions to support the goals of the company. This position requires knowledge of Agile methodology including best practices for reviewing product backlogs, writing and interpreting Initiatives, Epics and Stories. Success in this role will involve efficient and timely communication with technical and non-technical team members, proactive coordination, a love of new technologies, a strong desire to learn, a curious nature, and a passion for creating winning customer experiences and removing inefficiencies.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop deep understanding of hoopla Digital and eCommerce customers and users.
• Identify user problems and challenges with respect to hoopla Digital and eCommerce that detract from organizational objectives and goals.
• Document proposed solutions to customer problems with respect to the appropriate platform or interface.
• Effectively manage and prioritize backlog working closely with the product owner and area product owners.
• Collect, review, and analyze complex or confidential information to present to stakeholders and to support feature requirements.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational training and workshops, reviewing professional publications and other relevant resources.
• Create functional and technical documentation to support designs, implementation, and architecture.
• Build trust through strong, long-term relationships with cross-functional Business and Technical teams.
• Communicate effectively with product and technology stakeholders on requirements and product delivery.
• Balance the business needs with technical constraints.
• Provide clear communication regarding roles, responsibilities, and desired business values.
• Drive visibility and transparency of dates, upcoming milestones, and release dates through the development process.
• Demonstrate effective and collaborative communication with internal team members and all business partners.

• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum project management methodologies
• Able to communicate and effectively collaborate with cross-functional, cross organizational teams to create Product Backlog, Epics. Stories, and other deliverables.
• Able to research and identify best practices from other digital services.
• Able to conduct business and system analysis for the assigned product .
• A passion for understanding ambiguous, complex problems and high quality, innovative and robust technical solutions.
• Strong knowledge of web, eCommerce, and mobile technologies with an emphasis on search engines
• Familiarity with AI concepts such as LLMs and NLP.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Proven business and system analysis skills.
• Must be detail oriented and possess great organizational skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

Preferred Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, related area, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Experience:

• 2-4 years of Business System Analysis experience in a software engineering organization
• 2-4 years’ experience in product management
